Traffic police were alerted on Friday morning when a truck was spotted moving in the opposite direction on the Athens – Thessaloniki highway.

A truck was spotted driving in the wrong lane on the Athens – Thessaloniki highway on the morning of Friday (5/12).
According to initial reports from the police, the vehicle was driving in reverse on the section of the highway between the Malgara tolls and the Kleidi junction, where it was eventually stopped.
The driver, who is from Bulgaria, was arrested and charged with reckless driving.
There were no reports of a collision with another vehicle, and the circumstances under which the truck entered the wrong lane remain unknown at this time.
