The autopsy revealed the cause of death of the 44-year-old boxer who punched an orthopedic surgeon in Aigio and died suddenly after the attack.

The autopsy into the cause of death of the 44-year-old boxer was completed today, Tuesday (16/12). The man had punched an orthopedic surgeon while the doctor was working in the Emergency Department, and on Sunday afternoon (14/12) he was found dead in his home.
According to the autopsy findings, the 44-year-old was suffering from peritonitis and died after an ischemic episode.
The initial incident occurred on Friday morning (12/12), when the 44-year-old went to the hospital for an examination. According to information reported by tempo24.news, he strongly disagreed with the doctor over the way his condition was being handled, with the verbal dispute quickly escalating into a violent attack.
The police were immediately notified and opened a case file regarding the incident. However, the perpetrator had already left the hospital and was being sought under the flagrant offense procedure.
Reports indicate that he had gone into hiding to avoid arrest, and on Sunday afternoon he was found dead in his home by family members.
