Shock has gripped Agrinio following the murder of a local community president, who was shot dead with a shotgun while inside his car. A suspect has been arrested.

Victim of an Execution-Style Murder: 50-Year-Old President of the Lithovouni Local Community in Agrinio
A 50-year-old man, the President of the Lithovouni Local Community in Aetolia-Acarnania, Agrinio, has become the victim of an execution-style murder.
The perpetrator, also a resident of the area, is believed to have set an ambush for the victim. When the victim appeared in his car, the assailant approached and literally executed him with a hunting rifle.
It is reported that the victim lost control of the car due to the gunshots, and the vehicle veered off the road and fell into a ravine.
Following a search in the surrounding area, the police managed to locate and arrest the suspect, who is now being held in the Agrinio Police Department for questioning.
So far, it seems the motives for the murder were personal and related to a romantic rivalry.
The investigation is ongoing, while the local community remains in shock.
The victim was married and a father of one child.

“A local man was arrested shortly ago in the Aetolia-Acarnania region by officers from the Aetolia Police Directorate for the premeditated murder of a 50-year-old man. Further updates will follow.”
