Fatal collision between two trucks on Kifissos Avenue

A fatal road accident occurred on Kifissos Avenue when a truck broke through the safety barriers, crossed into the opposite carriageway and crashed into another truck.

The collision between two trucks took place in the early hours of Thursday (8/1), resulting in the death of a 25-year-old man.
The incident occurred at around 5:30 a.m., when, under as yet unknown circumstances, a truck travelling in the direction of Lamia broke through the central barriers, crossed into the oncoming lane and collided with another truck near the River West area.
Two men were transported to Nikaia General State Hospital, one of whom, the 25-year-old, succumbed to his injuries at 6:05 a.m.
Traffic on Kifissos Avenue, in the direction towards Piraeus, in the Aigaleo area, is currently moving with difficulty.
