An alarm was raised in the Gkyzi area at midday on Sunday when a man stabbed his wife and then took his own life.
According to initial reports, the man, approximately 60 years old, attacked his wife with a knife, injuring her in the neck, before ending his life by jumping from the balcony of an apartment building. The woman was transported to hospital, where she is being treated in serious condition.
