A new 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck Evia on Saturday afternoon, the second tremor of similar magnitude to hit the island within a matter of hours.

A new 4.0-magnitude earthquake was recorded on the Greek island of Evia, near Prokopi, on Saturday afternoon (19/09).
According to the Geodynamic Institute’s automated solution, the earthquake’s epicentre was located 8 kilometres southeast of Limni, Evia, at an estimated focal depth of 18 kilometres.
The tremor was the second earthquake to strike the area within a few hours.
Earlier on Saturday, at 1:11 a.m., a 4.1-magnitude earthquake had been recorded in northern Evia.
