Emergency traffic restrictions in Athens on Tuesday and Wednesday – Why roads will be closed

The Traffic Police have issued an announcement regarding short full stoppages of vehicle circulation on major road arteries in Athens.

Due to bridge static-load testing, short full traffic interruptions will take place, gradually between 00:00 and 07:00 on 25 and 26 November, on central road routes in Athens.
More specifically:
Tuesday, 25-11-2025:
New Poseidonos Avenue, on the exit branch from Palaio Faliro towards Piraeus.
Exit branch of the roundabout at Old Poseidonos Avenue/Ioannou Fix, direction towards Piraeus.
Syngrou Avenue, traffic direction towards Piraeus.
Poseidonos Avenue above the exit from the SEF roundabout towards Ethnarchou Makariou & Dim. Falireos.
Wednesday, 26-11-2025:
Alipedo exit bridge, towards Iroon Polytechneiou Avenue.
Kifisou Avenue (elevated section).
Bridge at the interchange of Kifisou Avenue & Piraeus Street.
The Traffic Police urge drivers, for their own convenience and to avoid additional traffic congestion, to avoid passing through the above road sections during the specified time period and to follow the signals and instructions of traffic officers regulating circulation.
