On Wednesday (January 21), the Mayor of Athens, Charis Doukas, urged the residents to limit their movements due to the intense rainstorms expected in the capital.
He emphasized that all municipal services are on high alert.
Specifically, Mr. Dukas stated: “We are expecting difficult weather conditions, with two major waves of rain – one at noon and another at 8:00 PM.
Please be very careful when moving around, and avoid traveling as much as possible. We are on alert, and if you need anything, call 1595. Be very cautious today,” he stressed.
