Train driver hospitalized after a tree fell onto the train he was driving and impaled the carriage.

A serious accident occurred in Pyrgos when a tree “impaled” a moving train traveling the Pyrgos-Katakolo route, at the height of Agios Konstantinos.
According to tempo24news.gr, the incident took place on Tuesday morning (27/1) when a large pine tree fell onto the driver’s carriage, causing material damage and injuring the driver.
Fire Service units rushed to the scene, and the injured train driver was transported to Pyrgos Hospital.
The train was immobilized, and according to reports, no further train services will operate for the day.
